For the third year in a row, I’ve completed the NaNoWriMo writing challenge! I couldn’t have done it without the support and encouragement from friends, family and of course, The Inklings! Weekly write-ins, word count posting and sprints kept me going even when holidays, illness and procrastination tried to sink they’re teeth into my typing fingers.
Thank you to everyone who keeps me motivated to write…and write…and write. I look forward to continuing the weekly write-ins so I’ll finish “Hannah’s Chair” sooner than I did the last two. And afterwards? I still have the latest edit of “Sasha’s Journey” to complete, then on to either “A Dubious Gift” or “Frederick the Gentlemouse”.
In between, there are articles to write for #DineSavorRepeat, dancing to relieve stress and pitching to do for my VA and blogging businesses.
Yes, folks, I #amwriting, completing what I started with #NaNoWriMo and above all, loving the life I live.
Hi Sheri,
It’s great to see freelance writers still writing for personal satisfaction. That is great.
I’ve got to be honest… when it gets to be the end of the day for me, I generally like to stay as far away from a keyboard as possible.
But I really do enjoy writing — perhaps I should rethink how I spend my leisure time?
Also, I believe this is my first time commenting on your blog.
I plan to return in the future, so allow me introduce myself. 🙂
My name is Brent Jones and I’m a freelancer. I offer writing and social media management services and have earned my full-time living that way for the past year or so.
I’ve also spent the last year building an audience through my own blog…
But it’s only in the last month or two that I’ve really figured out who I want to serve through my blog — other freelancers!
There are a ton of people in the exact same spot I was just over a year ago… people wanting to leave their full-time career positions to begin building online service-based businesses. And I want to help.
So I guess you could say that my own blog is going through a bit of a transformation at the moment.
In the meantime, I thought it would be a good idea to start connecting with other freelancers, such as yourself. Pleased to virtually “meet” you and I intend to keep in touch!
All the best,
Brent
Hi, Brent. Thank you so much for your kind words, and of course, for visiting my humble online abode. Nice to virtually meet you as well. I’m learning that the freelance community, like the writers’ community is a very friendly and supportive place. I truly believe that there is enough for everyone if we just open ourselves up to possibilities and these two communities reflect that belief. I look forward to getting to know you, virtually of course!
