Today I had one of those “aha” moments, courtesy of my massage therapist. As is our habit, we chatted for a bit before beginning my massage. That’s when she casually mentioned something which, I have a feeling, i going to change my life. To put it very simply, she told me about a class that was starting which would, ultimately, train people to be healers. The class would be small and the believed there were one or two spots open.
After reading through the link she sent me, I knew that this was the next step along my path, and it was, finally, more than just a baby step! This will be an opportunity for me to break free of a lot of preconceived notions and finally start working towards what I knew was out there…helping other people!
I won’t kid myself by thinking that this will be a smooth, easy path. I expect to work hard, experience some pain when walls come down and come out the other side having made some pretty radical changes. But that is what I’ve been expecting; I just didn’t know where or how.
Now that I do, I’m pleasantly surprised to find that there is no trepidation, only excitement and wonder. I know that all the soul searching I’ve been doing, all of the things I’ve been trying, all of the people I’ve been talking to, led me to this opportunity. It arrived when I was ready for it, and not a nanosecond before.
I’m even more excited to be able to share the experience with a friend and to be able to participate in the growth of the individuals in our group. What we do with the knowledge we gain at the end of the course will likely be vastly different, but that is part of what makes it interesting and exciting. The experience will be different for everyone who participates because we’re all unique individuals who will discover different things as we progress.
I’m going into this with my mind open and no expectations as I want to make every effort to allow the energy and the evolution to flow naturally and freely. It will also be good to put my mind to a course of learning in a direction I’ve not previously followed. I’m one of those weird types who never tires of learning new things.
I know that I struggle to keep an open mind with regard to certain things, and know that working on opening it further will only benefit me with this new experience.
I suspect that there will be changes in my writing as a result (maybe I’ll find a way to control the ADHD?) and even that excites and intrigues me. What else can possibly come out of this brain of mine?
So this is me, going back to school to learn to be…more.
My gratitudes tonight are:
1. I am grateful for new opportunities to expand my horizons.
2. I am grateful for friends who help guide me to the next road I need to travel.
3. I am grateful for time spent sharing ideas and good times.
4. I am grateful for an abundance of love, energy, ideas, prosperity and opportunities.
5. I am grateful for the changes that continue to come and make my life more colorful.
Love and light.
